Southern Maryland RC&D is continually engaged in project work throughout Southern Maryland. Since our inception in 1971, we have completed hundreds of projects with diverse partners. Our level of involvement in each project varies depending upon the needs of our partners and the communities we serve. Southern Maryland RC&D may assist in the acquisition and management of grant resources, provide limited financial or material resources, perform education and outreach, or provide technical assistance. Our project portfolio is highly diverse, ranging from a tree planting with the Army Corps of Engineers to a $6.9M shoreline stabilization project protecting 4,800 linear feet of Chesapeake Bay shoreline.
